I only know of Pulau Sedanau close to Natuna Besar, if this is the island you refer to there is no effects of the Tsunami here. The worst hit areas are Aceh on North Sumatra.
Hi, Thanks for the quick response and good news. My wife was helped by a family in Pulau Sedanau near Natuna Besar about twenty years ago. She was a refugee from Vietnam and was very sick when she was over there for a few months. She left Pulau Sedanau for America and was robbed and lost all the addresses of the family who helped her. She still have a few pictures and names and often talk to me about the generous family and friends.
We would like very much to visit her good friends at Pulau Sedanau but afraid of many unkowns such as:
1. How do we get to Pulau Sedanau from Jarkata? assuming we landed at Jakata airport and how long is the trip from Jarkata to Pulau Sedanau? 2. Where or what hotel do we stay at Pulau Sedanau? 3. Where and what should we have for food at Pulau Sedanau? 4. What kind of gifts from America should we bring for our good friends? 5. Where else can we go and what else can we do at Pulau Sedanau, Natuna Besar, and main land Indonesia? ect. 6. Detail map of Pulau Sedanau and Natuna Besar will help.
