I was in Nusa Kembangan (Cilacap) last week, and made some pictures of the 2,5 Dutch forts there. These forts are there for more than 125 years but now the waringin trees are starting to "eat" them. Also some information abt. these forts, no one knows anything abt them. ("Aku tak tahu apa2 tuan, ayam sori mis". ) but that is typical Indonesia, they talk a lot but mostly abt. nothing. Not interested and I cannot blame them, as they learn nothing at school.
I also added a chapter from a book titled "Java, the Garden of the East" by Eliza Ruhamah Scidmore,it has been published in 1897 in New York. It is funny to read how Cilacap was in these days. The whole book is amazing, I have an original from 1907, but it might be still available (Oxford in Asia paperbacks)
