I am reading everywhere that there is a boat connection from johor baru to bintan (tanjung pinang), but I can't find any information about departue times and prices. Does anyone konw?

why don't you goto Singapore & take a direct ferry to Bintan Island??
I am not sure about JB-Bintan, but Sin-Bintan I am pretty sure about it.
