Hi

I am a first timer to Bali. Managed to get a really great deal for a nice 5 star in Nua Dua. However, I understand that food is really expensive there and there are not many local restuarants ? Is this true. How expensive is expensive ?

Any advise would be helpful.

Stay away from the 5 star hotels when eating, the food there is very expensive. If you don't mind a walk there is some restaurants outside the Nusa Dua hotel complex, in Bualu village and along Jalan Pantai Peminge. And there is always seafood to eat on Jimbaran beach if you take a taxi. I guess above 25 to 30 USD is expensive, but not sure what the price level is nowadays.
