i'm a timber merchant from pakistan. i want to get some information regarding timber in indonesia.my first question is; which area in indonesia produces the most timber and which city should i go to to buy timber. i'm specially looking for Red Meranti and Salangan Batu(balau). i have already visited indonesia once for timber business but my trip wasn't much fruitfull as i didn't do much homework and didn't know where to go for these woods. anyway i am gonna visit indonesia agaion in a few weeks time so please i would really appreciate if anyone could help me regarding my questions. Make sure to look for certified timber! Maybe a good start to look for timber is by searching for certification agencies operative in Indonesia? |
