First of all I would like to introduce myself. I come from Sabah Malaysia of Dusun Central origin (as according to the SIL International's grouping), but I do understand the Kadazan's dialect. Recently the Dusun and the Kadazan have been considered as one race, so they are now called as Kadazandusun. However, this creates some identity problems to many of the knowledgeable old folks. I do believe that the DUSUN is the original term. In trying to search the possibility of existence of DUSUN in other parts of the world, I fortunately came across a website regarding the DUSUN WITU. As I read the example of the written language spoken by the DUSUN WITU, almost all words are similar to those language spoken by the Kadazan. Perhaps you could see it for yourself the similarity of terms used by the DUSUN WITU ("http://www.language-museum.com/d/dusun-witu.htm" ) and by the Kadazan ( "http://www.language-museum.com/k/kadazan-coastal.htm" ) So my intense interest to know the DUSUN WITU is increasing, I have told to many friends of mine enthusiastically regarding the Dusun Witu and as a result they too now have the similar interest to know more about the DW. Apart from the existence of Dusun in Brunei (which their language is less similar to ours, only 25% similarity), we don't know the existence of DUSUN in other places. Thanks to you and the Internet for highlighting the DUSUN WITU. But in trying to search for more information regarding the Dusun Witu, I am quite in vain as no other clues apart for the said website. So I wonder if anyone could help me to get more information about the Dusun Witu. Bahasanya mirip bahasa Kadazan (Dusun) di Sabah, Malaysia (hampir 95% persamaan).
